Booth in emphatic Haverhill success

Mark Booth (Colmworth and North Beds) ran out a convincing winner of the Haverhill Pro-Am, thanks to a sizzling 65.

Booth, who enjoyed a solid outing on the European Seniors Tour at Close House earlier in the month, finished a very impressive five-under-par to win by three shots from Chase Davis (Stapleford Abbotts) and Jason Levermore (Channels).

Booth, a professional for 30 years, put his experience to good use in racking up six birdies, the last of which came at the 18^th.

James Jankowski was the other player to break par, with a one-under 69 leaving him in sole possession of fourth place.

The team event was landed by Booth and his three partners whose 124 tally secured victory by a shot.
