Eastbourne Down's Maria Tulley claimed top spot at Kingswood.

The three Virgin Atlantic PGA South Order of Merit Qualifying Schools held at Sand Martins, Mid Kent and Kingswood have delivered 60 qualifiers their guaranteed places alongside the exempt players.

In the first Q School at Sand Martins, Cuddington’s PGA Head Professional Paul Schunter carded a terrific five-under-par 65 for £250, pushed almost all the way by ProAgenda.com’s Guy Woodman with a 67 and Burhill’s David Callaway with a 68.

Moving on to Mid Kent, Richard Tinworth (Tinworth Ltd.) fired off an impressive six-under-par 64 for his £250 cheque, while St. Augustine’s David Ledingham and Birchwood Park’s James McGilvray both shot 66 to tie for second spot.

At Kingswood, it was Eastbourne Down’s Maria Tulley’s turn to grab the £250 cheque and the headlines by beating all the boys with the only sub-par round of the day, a two-under-par 70. Trailing by three shots, Pentland Golf’s Steven Mitchell tied with Romsey’s Elliot Groves on 73 for second spot.

The other participants will be hoping their performances were enough to grab one of the remaining spots at each of the OOM events.
