The Milltown Pro-Am finished in a three-way tie with Damien McGrane, Mark Staunton and Gerry Burke all topping the leaderboard.
The trio ended the day on four under par (67), one shot ahead of Joe Dillon (Headfort GC) and Irish PGA Champion, Tim Rice (Limerick).
Gerry (Curragh GC), beginning his round at the 10th under the shotgun start format, played his opening nine holes in three under par 32, coming home in one under 35.
Mark, who like Gerry was amongst the morning starters, began at the 13th hole and picked up his first birdie at the 15th, before dropping a shot at the 18th. He was three-under for his remaining 12 holes, adding birdies at the first, second and fourth.
McGrane went into the event on the back of a victory at the Waterford Castle Pro-Am.
Out in the afternoon wave, he played the opening nine holes in level par 36 with birdies at the sixth and seventh cancelled out by dropped shots at the eighth and ninth.
He was still level par after 13 holes but finished with a closing birdie barrage to sign for a back nine of four under 31.
Slade Valley's John Dignam and amateur partners, Deirdre Walsh, Emma Walsh and Sophie Walsh won the team event with 89 pts.
